Krishna M. Sadasivam Professional Illustrator. Cartoonist. Design Ninja.
Krishna earned a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. It was there, he discovered he was a computer geek.
After several years in the engineering world Krishna bailed to follow his life-long dream of going back to school for a formal education in art. He earned an M.F.A. in Animation from the Savannah College of Art & Design.
Currently, Krishna serves as a full-time instructor within the Media Arts and Animation department at the Art Institute of Tampa. When he’s not busy teaching, he spends a considerable amount of time as a professional cartoonist / illustrator. When he’s not creating comics, Krishna spends much of his time with his wife Aarti and daughter Sonia. His other hobbies include reading comics, cycling, Macintosh computing and playing guitar. Krishna wants to let the world know that he is an avid Power Man & Iron Fist fan.
Krishna’s web comic PC Weenies has appeared online since October 1998 and is geared towards technology enthusiasts, engineers, systems administrators / IT, and software developers.
It’s smart, funny, and very well drawn!
On today’s show Krishna shares the origins of PC Weenies as well as some of his techniques with us. Krishna also gave us some solid tech advice to all artists. Specifically, he shared the importance of working with dual monitors! Check out his post on dual monitors.
We also talked about teaching art and animation and how much inspiration we as instructors get from our students! Seriously!
Krishna is an extremely talented and creative artist. He works hard at his desk and it shows. Plus he’s a cool cat man! I had a killer time chatting it up with him!
